Since the Digital Switchover, Freeview has become the main terrestrial TV service in the UK and is now the most popular way to watch. Why? Because it has a great range of channels without subscription charges.
In order to receive it, you need an aerial. In some areas the signal is now strong enough to allow portable aerials to pick up the full range of digital channels. However in most areas you will need a fixed aerial - either in the loft or on the outside of the house - to give a consistent, good quality signal. You will also need a digital tuner. All new TV’s have them built in, however old analogue TV’s will require a digital set top box.
We can install a fixed aerial to ensure you get the best possible signal at your house. The price varies depending on where it needs to be fitted and how long the cable needs to be, so for a brand new aerial with a cable to 1 point we normally say it will cost between £95 and £125. Each additional point will cost around £45 (again, depending on length), plus the cost of whatever equipment is required to split the signal. This depends on the signal level at the property and how many points you would like.
